-
Under 17yrs - 36 teams
We organized 10 “Parents Matches” and 18 Inter Group Matches. 15 Groups were trained on tactics. There was an introduction on learning on how to be an Umpire and an introduction on learning how to be a Coach.
AIM OF THE ABOVE EVENTS From the basics of playing the game with skills to be followed , rules of the game, tactics and identification of weaknesses and positive aspects and inter - group play for exposure to identify senior players outstanding levels of skills in action. There was also the Umpires and Coaching side with mentioning of the objectives, rules of the game, skills, signals etc. We tried our very best to instill the Cohesive Approach with a stable system with appreciation as a healthy activity with good social inter-action and satisfying environment for further development. However, the constraints of funds and facilities remains to be improved. As you know the idea of a stable professional career with proper remuneration in this field in developing countries are still much to be desired. So much so with the Amateur and Professional players in the game require more assistance in the form of programmes, funds, opportunities etc, for a stable structure.
FUTURE TARGETS AND PLANS To participate in all programmes of the FIH with emphasis in obtaining the valuable experience they have gained in the International level. To continue with a vigorous approach to uplift the current standards by conducting more programmes regularly and examine the possibility of creative and skills improving new idea based programmes/events. Promote and actively pursue opportunities to participate at International events essential for the development of all aspects of this game. Finally monitor the implementation of these efforts to ensure its success.
