Olympic Order for Former FIH President Els van Breda Vriesman

Former FIH President Els van Breda Vriesman was awarded by IOC President Jacques Rogge with the Olympic Order. The former IOC Member received the award on the occasion of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

 

‘I heard the news with great pleasure as I believe that Els van Breda Vriesman well deserves this distinguished honor’, FIH President Leandro Negre said. ‘On behalf of the Executive Board and the whole body of the FIH, I would like to offer her our warmest congratulations.’

 

The Olympic Order is the highest award of the Olympic Movement, created by the International Olympic Committee in May 1975. The Olympic Order is awarded to individuals for particularly distinguished contribution to the Olympic Movement
